how did you do that fire effect ?

And then I made several modifications in the second half, and stuck to one fire object. I can send a download to the material if you'd like.

what software did you use ?

you really should watch movies till the end credits. it tells you what programs I used. Blender for 3D backgrounds, Krita for main animation, Audacity for audio recording/mixing and Da Vinci resolve for video editing.

I use pencil2D for the animation, then blender to put it all together, both free if you want to try them out.
